These two pictures taken by Canon Powershot A40 digital camera shows shots of dim corridors. The lighting is dim when taking these pictures. However, I felt that the pictures taken by this camera below is of lesser quality than what my eyes saw .

My Observations:

-Picture is too dark
The picture is too dark compared to what my eyes saw when taking this picture. The exposure time is 1/25 sec with aperture size of F2.8.

-Wide Dynamic Range Problem
Look at the region marked by the red square in picture above. It has become very bright and over-exposed in that region. This is due to the camera being unable to handle the large light range in that region, thus pushing bright areas to white and leading to loss of details.

My Observations:

-Wide Dynamic Range Problem
The bright areas in the region marked by the blue square above becomes white due to wide dynamic range problem. As a result, parts of the bushes become white instead of green.
