I took this picture using the DigiCam ES3310 digital camera. Notice that some parts of the image is under bright sunlight while others are under shadows. Overall, the color of this picture looks faded and not natural. I took a similar picture under the same lighting conditions using the Nikon Coolpix 5700 here. The picture by Nikon 5700 obviously has fresher colors, producing a better picture.

In this picture, the ES3310 was able to capture the details in both bright and dark areas reasonably well. However, if you look at the region marked by the blue rectangle, you will find that there is a loss of details there as well. If the details of the leaves in the dark are brought out more, the picture would look better.

Moreover, the color of the sky looks flat and uninteresting. This is probably due to the strong sunlight in the sky. There is also some strange artifacts in the region marked by the red rectangle. The color there looks unnatural and there is a bluish tint of color around the fringes of the leaves. These are probably added by the image processing algorithms of the camera. You can see it clearly in the image below.
