tree_es3310.jpg
Here is a picture of a group of tall trees taken using the
DigiCam ES3310 digital camera. If you compare this picture with the one taken
using the Nikon Coolpix 5700 here,
you will find that this picture looks worst off and faded compared to the one
taken using Nikon 5700. Both pictures were taken using ISO 100 rating. The only
difference is that the one by ES3310 was taken with larger aperture size and
longer exposure time. This caused the picture to appear more exposed than that
taken by the Nikon 5700. As a result, the tree trunks appear more detailed with
white dots on them compared to the Nikon 5700 picture, where the trunks appear
darker. An example is shown in the green rectangle in the above image.
In this picture, the ES3310 camera seems to introduce purple
fringes along the tree trunks. This can be seen in the region marked by the red
rectangle in the picture above. Also, the leaves against the sky appears
distorted and their colors appears false and unnatural. All this can be seen in
the region marked by the red rectangle and is also shown below.

Compared to the Nikon 5700 digital camera, the ES3310 was not able to capture
the details in areas under bright sunlight. This is illustrated in the region marked by the blue rectangle.
In this picture taken by ES3310, the white object in the blue rectangle appears very bright. However,
in the same picture taken using the Nikon 5700, you will be able to see the details of the white object
more clearly.
