chart11lux_SL400R.jpg
The first picture taken by Kyocera FineCam SL400R
digital camera shows a shot of a Macbeth Color Chart in a room with lighting of
186 Lux. The other picture below shows a shot of the Macbeth Chart in the same
room with lighting of 11 Lux.
The black device on the right side of the Macbeth
chart is a lightmeter. It measures the amount of light shining on it. The unit
ofr light is in terms of Lux.
For a good idea of what the numbers in Lux really
means, lets just say that in broad daylight, the lightmeter would show a few
thousand Lux, while if you put it under a desk in a room, the lightmeter would
read 11 Lux. 186 Lux would be the amount of light in a room with daylight
shining through some windows.
My Observations:
-Able to Produce Well-Detailed Pictures in Different
Lightings
The 2 pictures are taken in 186 Lux and 11 Lux
respectively. 11 Lux is roughly the amount of light under a desk. Yet, the
picture taken by the SL400R still looks well-lit and there is no loss of
details. This means that the camera is useful for taking pictures in situations
where the lighting is dim and the object is close, like during birthday
parties.
-Colors are Reproduced Accurately
The colors of the Macbeth color chart are reproduced
accurately in this two pictures.
