dimcorridor_SL400R.jpg
This picture taken by Kyocera FineCam SL400R digital
camera shows a shot of a dim corridor. It was taken within the corridor where
the lighting is dim. The exposure metering was set to Evaluation mode.
Situations where the lighting is dim are often encountered when taking
pictures, like when there is a birthday party or at a concert. This example
serves to show what the camera can produce in such dim lighting situations.
My Observations:
-Good Reproduction of Details at Far end of Corridor
The details at the far end of the corridor are
reproduced accurately.
-Noise
The sides of the walls of the corridor look noisy in
this picture. The corridor definitely does not look so dirty in the real scene.

dimcorridorA_SL400R.jpg
This picture above taken by Kyocera FineCam SL400R
digital camera shows a shot of the same dim corridor, but this time from a
place where there is ample light. The exposure metering is still at Evaluation
mode.
Notice that by taking the picture from a place where there is more light, the
exposure of the picture turns out better and not as dark as the previous
picture. This time, the picture turns out brighter than what I actually saw at
the scene, which is good.
My Observations:
-Noise
The sides of the walls of the corridor again look
noisy in this picture. The corridor definitely does not look so dirty in the
real scene. The stone tiled floors also have colored specks of noise on them in
this picture, as shown below.
