Picture of
Computer Back

Computer back taken Further
Away
Comments:
Here are 2 shots of the back of a computer at
different distances away from the computer. The objective is to see how the
camera captures the interesting lines and patterns on the back of the
computer.
Comparison of Edges:
- Zoom-in 1 shows a vertical edge of the right side
of the computer from the 1st picture. Zoom-in 2 shows diagonal and vertical
edges of a drawing in the background of the second picture, which was taken
further away from the computer compared to the 1st picture.

Zoom-in 1

Zoom-in 2
In zoom-in 1, the edge highlighted
by the red circle is about 3 pixels wide. In zoom-in 2, the diagonal and
vertical edges of the drawing are also about 3 pixels wide. Note that the
second picture was taken further away from 1st picture, so the object and edges
in zoom-in 2 is further behind the edge in zoom-in 1. Yet, the edges in both
cases occupy 3 pixels wide. The
Sony Ericsson S700i has edges that are 2 pixels wide.
Noise:
- In the second picture, the top of the black file on top of the computer
is quite noisy.
Checkered Patterns has
False Colors and are Blurred:
- There are false colors on the checkered patterns of the fan when picutre is
taken further away from computer compared to the first picture. Also, the edges
of the checkered patterns become slightly blurred in the second picture.
