densetree_olyD580.jpg
This picture taken by Olympus D580 digital camera
shows a shot of a tree with dense leaves taken in broad daylight.
My Observations:
-Underside of Canopy of Tree is too Dark
The underside of the canopy of the tree turns out
too dark in this picture. Thus, there is loss of details among the leaves. This
is highlighted in the red rectangle above.
-Details of Leaves are Sharp
The dense leaves of the tree are very sharp and has
good contrast. These type of dense leaves are actually very challenging for
digital cameras to reproduce in pictures well.
-Comparison with other Camera
Take a look at the same picture taken by the Kyocera
SL400R over here.
The main feature for comparison in this picture is in the dense leaves of the
tree. The pictures below show comparison between the two cameras of regions
taken from the tree above.

The leaves in the Olympus D580 picture has fresher and more vibrant colors compared to
the one by Kyocera SL400R. Both cameras are able to capture the details of the dense
leaves well.
