redflower_olyD580.jpg
Here's a close up shot of a red flower taken using the
Olympus D580 digital camera. It was taken using the Super High Quality (SHQ)
mode available in the camera. I find this picture very beautiful and it is one
of the best pictures I have taken. This is because the colors of the leave and
flower are fresh and attractive. The details of the underside of the flower
petals can also be seen clearly. This picture was taken using an aperture size
of f3.4, shuttle speed of 1/100, and ISO rating of 50. These settings were
automatically chosen by the camera, and this shows that the algorithms used by
the camera processing unit to predict the correct settings is very good.
for a similar picture taken using the DigiCam ES3310. When comparing between
both pictures taken by the two cameras, you will find that the one by the
ES3310 is worst than that taken using D580. Both pictures were taken at the
same exact moment and under the same lighting conditions. However, the D580
picture turns out ot be great, while the ES3310 picture appears over exposed.
